You’re invited to our weekly Missional Community Bible Study!
Tuesdays 6:30-8 PM
Meeting at: 438 Marketplace Dr. (Church at Cane Bay behind Publix)

Additional Info:
  • Feel free to bring your kids, ours will be there. We’ll have coloring pages for them and some toys for the very young. Note: no child care is provided.
  • Masks are encouraged, but not required. We’ll personally wear a mask just while we are moving around indoors (entering and exiting), once we sit down, we’ll take our masks off, but we’ll let everyone decide what they personally are most comfortable with.
  • If you need to quarantine for any reason, we have a virtual option too. We will have a few people joining us virtually using Zoom. Please let me know if you would be interested in that option.

What exactly is a Missional Community? It is a combination of a small group, a Bible study, and an outreach group. Its aim is to facilitate the 3 parts of our Mission (i.e. CONNECT, GROW & SERVE).  We desire to CONNECT to God and each other in real friendships, study the Bible together to help us all GROW in Christ, and SERVE together in Cane Bay to reach our neighbors and friends with the gospel.

Feel free to come visit any week! Or if you would like more information about it, fill out the Contact form (top right) and we would be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Info Meeting

We had our first informational meeting on Aug. 30. You can watch it here to learn more about the church we are starting.

THE Vision

The Pastor

Nathan Francis

Nathan grew up in Richmond, VA. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.A. in Graphic Design in 2003. During college, he served with the Navigators campus ministry and spent two summers in Japan. After college, he stayed in Blacksburg, VA and worked a dozen years in the Information Technology field in design, support, and project management.
During those years, his desire grew for pastoral ministry. Subsequently, he moved his family to Charlotte, NC to attend Reformed Theological Seminary where he graduated with a Masters of Divinity in 2017. They moved to Asheville, NC to become a Pastor of Discipleship and Outreach. They now live in Cane Bay laying the groundwork for this new church.
He met his beautiful wife, Lori, in Blacksburg. He and his wife, Lori, have four daughters; ages 18, 13, 11, and 5. Nathan loves being outside and Lori’s happy place is the beach. They are excited to be living in the Lowcountry! Nathan enjoys cycling, building things, frisbee, campfires, and anything with his girls.

The Need

Cane Bay, the seventh fastest growing community in America, is 45 minutes northwest of Charleston, SC. As companies continue to build and expand facilities in the greater Charleston area (see map below), Cane Bay will expand from 4,000 to 10,000 homes (currently 15,000+ people).  Although this community has its own schools, medical offices, YMCA, and shopping center, it has only a few churches. Our heart’s desire is to plant a PCA church in this community to reach these families with the gospel. We are laying the groundwork this year in order to launch worship early in 2021.
